Mancini's Sleepworld is a Northern California mattress retailer with dozens of Bay Area stores and a regional ecommerce site. Shoppers have to compare comfort, cooling and brand while delivery and stock depend on which store they pick.
They wanted more online and in-store sales from a path that puts location, SleepMatch, financing and recycling in front of the customer before checkout.
Collaboration: One Magnify (UI)
Objective
Help shoppers compare a complex product without a spec dump.
Make store, stock language and delivery follow a chosen location.
Put SleepMatch, financing and recycling rules on the path instead of in fine print.
Approach
UX design and information architecture for a catalogue shoppable by size, type, comfort and brand in parallel.
Ecommerce website redesign of the store finder with set-as-my-store, so delivery estimates follow the location.
Product pages that surface cooling, motion separation and firmness as a visual language.
Conversion optimization in cart and two-step checkout for add-ons, recycling fee, setup, pickup and financing.
SleepMatch offered as an in-store next step.
Impact
Regional retail gets store context before configuration.
Complex product information is organised so purchase stays the point.
Fulfilment rules live in checkout.
